Do you have a Salla team in Riyadh?

Yes. Ethos is headquartered in Riyadh and supports Salla users across Saudi Arabia, including Jeddah, Dammam and Al Khobar. Our team works on-site or remotely, in Arabic and English.

How do you handle Saudi PDPL on Salla?

We design Salla journeys around the Personal Data Protection Law overseen by SDAIA: a lawful basis and consent for marketing, easy opt-out, minimum data and controls on transfers outside the Kingdom. Customer data stays in your Salla account and approved environments, and sector rules such as SAMA guidance for banks and CST rules for SMS sender IDs are added at kick-off. Your data-protection team keeps final sign-off.

Can Salla send Saudi-dialect Arabic and WhatsApp messages?

Yes. We build right-to-left Arabic templates and English versions for every message, checked by an Ethos writer before sending. We write in Saudi dialect where your brand voice allows, and in formal Arabic where it does not. Where Salla has no native WhatsApp channel, we connect an approved WhatsApp Business provider through integrations or APIs, with approved templates and opt-in management.

Do you plan Salla journeys around the Saudi calendar?

Yes. The engagement plan is built around Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Founding Day, Saudi National Day, White Friday, back-to-school and salary week, with quiet hours and frequency caps that respect prayer times and local habits.

Do you also support Salla in the UAE and the GCC?

Yes. Ethos also operates from Dubai and supports Salla users in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. Groups that run several GCC markets can keep one programme with market-specific journeys.

How does an Ethos Engage programme on Salla work, and what does it cost?

Engage is a recurring monthly retainer, invoiced in Saudi riyals through our Saudi entity. A setup team designs the programme in months 1–3, then an operations team runs it every day. The fee depends on journeys, channels and scope. Many clients start with one stage, such as activation, retention or win-back, and expand once results are proven.

Salla has marketing apps already. Why use Ethos?

Apps send messages; they do not plan the lifecycle. We decide which journeys matter for your store, write them in Saudi Arabic and English, set them up and measure the extra revenue each one brings.

Salla is one of the two leading Saudi-built ecommerce platforms, used by a large share of online merchants in the Kingdom. In Saudi Arabia, from Riyadh and Jeddah to Dammam and Al Khobar, it is usually run by Saudi merchants of every size, from new stores to established local brands.

Salla stores already capture what lifecycle marketing needs: customers, carts, orders and cities. Most merchants only use a fraction of it. Ethos is headquartered in Riyadh and has worked with Saudi brands for more than a decade. As an independent Salla consultancy, we are not tied to any platform vendor, so our advice is about results, not licences.

With Ethos Engage, our Riyadh team turns your Salla store into a recurring lifecycle programme. We connect Salla store events to email, SMS and WhatsApp, build abandoned-cart, post-purchase and reorder journeys, segment customers by orders and city and report recovered and repeat revenue. WhatsApp and SMS often outperform email for Saudi shoppers, so we build journeys channel-first, with cash on delivery and the Saudi sales calendar in mind.

Messages are written in Saudi Arabic and English, consent-checked and built around PDPL and your regulator's rules. Each journey is measured against a control group and planned around the Saudi calendar, from Ramadan and Eid to National Day and salary week.

For smaller programmes we run a lean team: one Engagement Manager owns strategy and delivery, backed by shared martech, data and content specialists.

  • Engagement Manager (team lead, day to day): builds, launches and optimises every journey, working alongside your team in Riyadh.

  • MarTech Developer (day to day): builds and maintains the set-up: Salla store events, apps from the Salla App Store, webhooks and APIs.

  • Data & Performance Analyst (day to day): loads segments, monitors results and reports each journey against a hold-out group.

  • UX/UI Designer & Copywriter (day to day): designs and writes every message in Arabic (Saudi dialect where it fits) and English.
