Do you have a Zid team in Riyadh?
Yes. Ethos is headquartered in Riyadh and supports Zid users across Saudi Arabia, including Jeddah, Dammam and Al Khobar. Our team works on-site or remotely, in Arabic and English.
How do you handle Saudi PDPL on Zid?
We design Zid journeys around the Personal Data Protection Law overseen by SDAIA: a lawful basis and consent for marketing, easy opt-out, minimum data and controls on transfers outside the Kingdom. Customer data stays in your Zid account and approved environments, and sector rules such as SAMA guidance for banks and CST rules for SMS sender IDs are added at kick-off. Your data-protection team keeps final sign-off.
Can Zid send Saudi-dialect Arabic and WhatsApp messages?
Yes. We build right-to-left Arabic templates and English versions for every message, checked by an Ethos writer before sending. We write in Saudi dialect where your brand voice allows, and in formal Arabic where it does not. Where Zid has no native WhatsApp channel, we connect an approved WhatsApp Business provider through integrations or APIs, with approved templates and opt-in management.
Do you plan Zid journeys around the Saudi calendar?
Yes. The engagement plan is built around Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Founding Day, Saudi National Day, White Friday, back-to-school and salary week, with quiet hours and frequency caps that respect prayer times and local habits.
Do you also support Zid in the UAE and the GCC?
Yes. Ethos also operates from Dubai and supports Zid users in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. Groups that run several GCC markets can keep one programme with market-specific journeys.
How does an Ethos Engage programme on Zid work, and what does it cost?
Engage is a recurring monthly retainer, invoiced in Saudi riyals through our Saudi entity. A setup team designs the programme in months 1–3, then an operations team runs it every day. The fee depends on journeys, channels and scope. Many clients start with one stage, such as activation, retention or win-back, and expand once results are proven.
Can you work with both Zid and our physical stores?
Yes. If you sell online and in stores, we look at how customer and order data from both can be joined, then build journeys that recognise the same customer across channels.

Zid is one of the two leading Saudi-built ecommerce platforms, serving merchants across the Kingdom and the Gulf. In Saudi Arabia, from Riyadh and Jeddah to Dammam and Al Khobar, it is usually run by Saudi merchants and growing local brands.
Zid merchants grow fastest when first-time buyers become repeat buyers. That is exactly what lifecycle journeys are for. Ethos is headquartered in Riyadh and has worked with Saudi brands for more than a decade. As an independent Zid consultancy, we are not tied to any platform vendor, so our advice is about results, not licences.

With Ethos Engage, our Riyadh team turns your Zid store into a recurring lifecycle programme. We connect Zid store events to email, SMS and WhatsApp, build cart recovery, post-purchase and win-back journeys, segment by order history and value and report recovered and repeat revenue. We write in Saudi Arabic, use WhatsApp where customers expect it and build around Ramadan, Eid, National Day and White Friday.
Messages are written in Saudi Arabic and English, consent-checked and built around PDPL and your regulator's rules. Each journey is measured against a control group and planned around the Saudi calendar, from Ramadan and Eid to National Day and salary week.

For smaller programmes we run a lean team: one Engagement Manager owns strategy and delivery, backed by shared martech, data and content specialists.
Engagement Manager (team lead, day to day): builds, launches and optimises every journey, working alongside your team in Riyadh.
MarTech Developer (day to day): builds and maintains the set-up: Zid store events, Zid apps, webhooks and APIs.
Data & Performance Analyst (day to day): loads segments, monitors results and reports each journey against a hold-out group.
UX/UI Designer & Copywriter (day to day): designs and writes every message in Arabic (Saudi dialect where it fits) and English.
